CLUMP reads like a head-on collision between Kurt Vonnegut Jr. and Chuck Palahniuk.

Clump is a man with no name, no past and, most importantly, no head. The huge, heavily muscled giant is unaware of the world around him, but improbably becomes the most popular entertainer in America. Clump's unscrupulous medical and media handlers work desperately to manage his skyrocketing career and wholesome, family-friendly public image...while concealing the inconvenient fact that the headless man is homicidally dangerous when touched.

A so-called "splatire" owing to the mix of razor-sharp comedy and graphic violence, CLUMP's satiric targets include the entertainment industry, medicine, journalism, corporate greed and ineptitude, politics, and a morally vacuous culture that increasingly and enthusiastically embraces the brainless.

This scathingly hilarious novel is not for the faint-hearted, the thin-skinned, or the unadventurous but is an all-you-can stomach buffet for those who like their comedy dark and their social commentary barbed.

CLUMP An American Splatire edition by S Redman White Literature Fiction eBooks

This book represents a genuine bargain for your entertainment dollar and is time well spent.

Just as you go to Costco and buy "kirkland" brand, knowing that they cut a painfully sweet deal with some major firm to undercut their own prices, here you get a novel from one of the world's best-selling authors published under a different name. And it's clearly a story the author wanted to tell.

Yes, I'm saying this story will change your life, and last time I checked I was a relatively high-ranked Amazon reviewer whose reviews make and destroy careers, unlike the chaff produced by the other 2 million-odd monkeys with keyboards and opinions.

There was never a satisfying conclusion to either the Doc Savage or Barney the Dinosaur storylines until now. If you like disturbing sexual imagery, have a dark sense of humor, and generally have a low opinion of humanity, this book will provide you with a real confirmation-bias dopamine surge. Wink wink nudge nudge say...no... more!

CLUMP An American Splatire edition by S Redman White Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

When I say that S. Redman White’s ‘Clump’ is that ultra-rare literary gem that only appears about every three decades or so, I’m not kidding. It’s brilliantly, jaw-droppingly imaginative in that darkly hilarious way. If Tom Wolfe’s ‘Bonfire of the Vanities’ and Kurt Vonnegut’s ‘Breakfast of Champion’ somehow copulated (if that makes sense), then ‘Clump’ would be the magnificently bastard offspring that shines in its own right. Or to put it another way, S. Redman White is like Chuck Palahniuk if Chuck were actually funny.

I can’t remember how many times I muttered “WTF!” while reading this book, followed by that bright light of recognition and appreciation for what the author wants to achieve with it. ‘Clump’ is that magic mirror you encounter in the funhouse, only it reflects back your ugliest, most shameful qualities in their starkest light—and entertaining you as it does so. At its heart is a headless corpse whose strange shenanigans (it refuses to die) becomes many profitable things to many stakeholders—as a virtual source of income for a hospital, as an online viral sensation, and as the vortex which everyone’s greed and selfishness are sucked into. The bottom line ‘Clump’ is a work of genius, and one that will stay with you even days after reading it.

Enjoy reading ‘Clump’ folks, and be proud of the fact that you’re among the first people who are enjoying what I believe is going to be a literary classic that will astound generations. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Download a copy today—or better, send this as a gift to people you know will appreciate it. Nothing but a solid five-star rating for this one.
Crazy.
Original, brilliant satire, and the perfect amount of gore to earn the "splatire" moniker. This fantastic find made me laugh out loud and nod in agreement at its satirical take on both the corporate and entertainment worlds. I can't recommend this enough; you will NOT be sorry you chose this one.

Now I'm ready to see Clump the movie!
The book is interesting, really a departure from the standard type of books I have read. The beginning was a funny and weird but as it moves towards the end it becomes more dark, violent even. Not for the faint hearted! I wonder whether there will be a prequel/sequel?
What a clever and wicked little satire this is! I have nothing to add to the positive reviews; except that I'll be waiting to see who stars in the movie version!
First of all, CLUMP is NOT a book for kids. Do-not-give-CLUMP-to-your-children!

Once "CLUMP" is finally discovered by the masses, (most probably for it's graphic sexual content), it will doubtless be banned for killing the sacred cow, or rather a whole herd of pretentious, sacred, societal cows, which...(and no offense to cows here), were long overdue for this sort of hilarious butchering. Absolutely nothing is sacred in "CLUMP"; and it's about effin' time!

"Clump", while devilishly insightful, is also a haunting and at times poetic book; telling the story of a mysteriously decapitated, obscenely dancing, insatiable sex machine, who wins the hearts and apparently what little remains of the collective American mind.

"CLUMP" is a page-turner of the first order. I literally couldn't put it down! Why Kurt Vonnegut himself would doubtless wet himself over some of the lacerating lines in this snarly, little book. And it's written by the Barney the Dinosaur writer??!!

Stop...my sides..you're killing me!!!
From the beginning, it is apparent that this book will be disgusting, extremely dark, and funny as hell. Two paramedics, including a would-be psychic who sees "bad electricals" respond to the site of a suicide. Just another blood soaked Dallas motel room, they think. Until the headless corpse stands up and starts punching a wall. Taken to the for-profit hospital MediCyn, it is seen as a never-ending source of billable services to Medicare. Then a YouTube video of Clump dancing becomes a sensation and a star is born. From there a, well, "splatire" of American culture ensues, and no one is safe. This is old fashioned go-for-broke satire that you don't see much any more. Mr. White never wastes a chance to go darker, but funnier. Everyone is greedy, sex obsessed, and cares only about themselves, with the exception of Clump's caretakers, a nurse with Israeli army training and a family she cares about, and an orderly who does his best but doesn't mind the increased salary or feeding Clump with a turkey baster. Clump becomes a media darling. Kids love him. And he will kill anyone who touches him. Mr. White doesn't flinch from the ultimate unhappy ending, either. Be prepared to laugh and to feel ill at the same time.
